Pizza Bambino

Pizza Bambino is a highly specialized pizza workshop located in the city of Varna, Bulgaria. It’s no coincidence that Pizza Bambino is known for making the tastiest pizzas in town. The secret of the taste is in the dough, prepared from high-quality flour, according to Italian technology, with kvass and double fermentation.

  • Client:

    Pizza Bambino
  • Industry:

    Food
  • Services:

    Website Design WordPress Development
Pizzabambino E-Commerce Development
Pizzabambino Responsive E-Commerce Development

Scope of the Project:

  • Pizzabambino’s new corporate website development
  • Integrating the WordPress CMS platform with Woocommerce
  • Adding additional options and add-ons to each product so the customer can build their pizza
  • Implementing hourly automatic product discounts
  • Shop working hours system to automatically close the order functionality if the pizzeria is closed

The Challenge:

Pizza Bambino contacted Grind Interactive at the beginning of 2022. Our initial task was to build their multi-language online shop that is used to present and sell their products. Initially, orders for Pizza Bambino were placed through food delivery websites and apps, or by local pickup at the pizzeria, as the business did not have its own website.We had to add additional options to each product so the client could easily build their pizza and include and exclude ingredients. We were also asked to use Elementor Pro so the client could easily update the website and its sections.

Home page web design for E-Commerce pizza website

The Solution:

Grind Interactive worked closely with Pizza Bambino from the very beginning of the project, giving both parties the flexibility to prioritize the custom development work needed and easily adapt to Pizza Bambino’s current needs. Grind Interactive started the website as a new WordPress-based project, utilizing Hello Elementor as a starter theme and Elementor Pro as a page builder. We launched the site’s primary version within four weeks.

Custom pizza addons
Custom variations for each pizza
Custom single woocommerce produuct page

The technical WordPress solution includes:

  • Elementor Pro for template creation and website editing;
  • Woocommerce for product and order management;
  • Woocommerce custom single product page;
  • Woocommerce product addons for enhancing the single product page. The additional product addons are individually added to each pizza/product, and the price of each addon is automatically added to the initial cost of the product;
  • Implementing a minimum order amount. The order will not proceed if the total amount exceeds the amount given in the admin panel.
  • Simplified checkout process;
  • Setting up the shipping methods: cash on delivery and local pickup. For the local pickup method, we created a code that, if selected, removes the address fields from the form on the checkout page so the client enters only the necessary contact information.
  • Adding an additional select field to the checkout form page: “Delivery time.” Because the average time for preparing the pizzas set by the client was 50 minutes, the client wanted us to add a field in the form where the user could select the delivery time. The challenge was that the first available time should be 50 minutes ahead. We created a JavaScript code that detects the current time and automatically adds +50 minutes. All past hours are automatically removed from the script.
  • WPML for multilingual management.
  • All templates and sections were designed to be easily edited and rearranged by the Pizza Bambino team.

The whole website was developed with the intention of being clean and tidy to secure good performance for large-scale operations.
